PLAIN-ENGLISH DATA POLICY

Privacy
Policy

Effective September 1, 2026

Short version: Tilt Happens does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or use personal data for advertising or tracking. Video processing happens on your iPhone.

Who operates the app

Tilt Happens is developed by Ivan Smetanin. This policy explains how the Tilt Happens iOS app and this website handle information.

Data collection

Tilt Happens has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking, or developer-operated network service. The website also uses no cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, forms, or advertising technology.

Videos and Photos

You choose a video through Apple’s system Photos picker. The app receives access only to the selected item, makes a temporary working copy inside its private app container, processes it locally, and saves the completed video to Photos after you grant add-only permission.

Neither the selected video nor the converted output is sent to the developer. Temporary media files are removed after the workflow completes or resets and are also cleaned up when the app starts, on a best-effort basis controlled by iOS.

Device motion

Tilt Happens uses gravity and motion readings to keep its interface aligned with the physical horizon. These readings are processed live on the device and are not stored or transmitted.

Local diagnostics

The app keeps up to five local technical conversion reports to help diagnose failures. A report may contain the app version, iOS version, device model, codec and media parameters, available disk space, thermal state, elapsed timings, and an error chain.

Reports do not deliberately contain video frames, media-library contents, GPS information, account data, email addresses, advertising identifiers, original filenames, file paths, or Photos identifiers. Sensitive-looking values are redacted before they are written.

Reports remain inside the app container unless you deliberately open the hidden diagnostics screen and choose to copy or share one through the iOS share sheet. If you voluntarily send a report to support, it is used only to investigate your request.

Purchases and third parties

Tilt Happens may be sold as a paid download through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the purchase and payment information. The developer does not receive payment-card details from the app. Apple’s own privacy terms govern its services.

Retention and deletion

Temporary media files are removed as described above. Local diagnostic reports are automatically limited to the five most recent reports. Deleting the app removes its local app-container data under normal iOS behavior.

Children

Tilt Happens does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

Security

Keeping processing on-device reduces exposure, but no device or storage system can be guaranteed perfectly secure. Keep iOS updated and protect access to your device.

Changes

This policy may be updated if the app or website changes. The effective date at the top will be revised when an update is published.
